About the Artist
Caitlin Hinshelwood lives and works in London. She produces distinctive collections of illustrative, hand-worked, printed textiles with an accomplished use of colour. Traditional methods and processes for textile screen-printing and dyeing are central to her work. She is interested in how textiles can be used to communicate and how they can act as repositories of personal or social history.
Caitlin is currently Joint Course Leader on BA Textile Design at Central Saint Martins and has exhibited her work nationally and internationally.
